Specialists of the NBC protection of the 41st Army of the Central Military District tested new equipment for the first time in the exercise

TSAMTO, 12 August. Servicemen of the NBC protection units of the 41st Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District tested a modern chemical reconnaissance complex in the course of performing combat training tasks in the framework of a bilateral exercise with the participation of combined arms formations of the military district.

Remote-action chemical reconnaissance devices PCRDD-3 replaced the military chemical reconnaissance devices of the VPHR. PCRDD-3 are designed to detect toxic vapors in the surface air layer in the field, in isolation from chemical reconnaissance vehicles. They allow detecting the presence of toxic substances within a radius of up to four thousand meters, without leaving the observation post (in contrast to the devices of earlier modifications).

This year's largest bilateral exercise of the 41st combined-arms and 2nd Guards combined-arms armies with the participation of more than 12 thousand servicemen and 3 thousand units. military equipment is held from 10 to 14 August at four training grounds in Siberia and the Volga region, according to the press service of the Central Military District.
